STABLE, KENNEL, CATTERY, COWSHED, WASHABLE ANTIBACTERIAL INTERNAL EXTERNAL COATING
This product is a water based heavy duty antibacterial formulation similar to a 2 pack product in durability but is a 1 pack product with all components pre mixed , just open the lid and mix and apply. Painting dog kennels/ cattery areas with water-based floor paint is a good way to maintain hygiene, improve durability, and make the area easier to clean. This product is fast drying, touch dry within 2-4 hours minimising downtime and has Low VOC’s perfect for areas that house animals.
Suitable for:
Concrete, wood, brick, metal, stone and block areas.
Application:
Airless spray, conventional spray, brush, roller are all fine to use and 2 thin coats are usually recommended.
Coverage:
1 x 20L covers Approx 160 – 200sqm on a smooth concrete floor. Please note other surfaces can be more porous.
Key information for areas with animals:
Clean the Surface Thoroughly
Remove dogs / cats and all kennel equipment.
Sweep and mop the floor to remove hair, dust, and debris.
Use a concrete cleaner or degreaser to remove urine stains, oil, or dirt. All traces of contamination must be dealt with before painting.
Rinse well and allow the floor to dry fully.
Let It Cure Properly
Allow paint to cure completely before allowing animals back in.
Water-based paints are dry to touch in a few hours, but full curing can take a couple of days depending on the area and weather conditions.
Animal Safety Tips:
Always Choose a non-toxic, low-VOC water-based paint.
Ensure adequate ventilation while painting and curing.
Don’t let animals back in until there’s no odor and the surface is fully cured.
Consider an anti-slip additive for safety, especially in wet areas.
Important:
A test patch is always advised as some areas my still have contamination and this could have complications when coating please ensure the area is clean dry and free from any contamination before coating is applied.
Shade variation can happen when orders are made at different times please make sure enough product is ordered at time of purchase or keep a note of batch code of lid of can. Please note we cannot guarantee the same batch will still be on stock when re-ordering so do calculate quantity needed of area in first purchase.
